Being born and raised in Texas, means I have had my share of experiences listening to Selena and being in her hometown also! I had never known that she had unpolished Spanish because she was still so extremely popular, so reading that little bit just genuinely surprised me. Her death still shakes Texas even to this day. Her music is still so strong in the Latino and Tejano community despite her early death and I think that is just so amazing!
