The “Velocity Slot” in the sole increases the flexibility of the lower part of the face, giving added distance and accuracy to low strikes — the most common miss among amateurs. The club’s sole has also been redesigned to mimic the aerodynamic shape of a bike helmet, increasing clubhead speed even beyond that of the company’s previous “fastest ever” driver, the Speedline S. Face angles can be adjusted open, neutral or closed, and an easy lock-and-twist knob on the end of the shaft allows for up to two degrees in loft angle adjustment, from 9.5 to 11.5.

Hit it today at a demo day in upstate ny. It is a beast. Currently have a r1 with an oban devotion. Tried the red tie at 9 and 7.5 and found it ok at best for my swing. Then the rep told me the adapter is interchangable with my Tm club.

Find a golf driver on Gumtree, the #1 site for Golf Sets for Sale classifieds ads in the UK. Mac greger left handed golf clubs and trolley 9 irons, 2 woods, 1 driver, and putter. Norwich, Norfolk. Excellent Adams golf speedline F11 driver.

Put my oban in the xtd head and hit 13 of 15 on the screws. I could turn it both ways with ease.

I hit two flares about 30 yds right when i tried swing out of my shoes but that was over 100 balls into my afternoon. I was very impressed with this driver and will own one soon. Hit new offerings from nike, callaway, Tm, cleveland, and ping today and the xtd was the best by a wide margain. Did they improve the sound and feel over the Super LS?

Don't know, but it's the smoothest 'impact' I've ever felt with a driver. Absolutely delightful.

To each his own. I spent an hour with it on a demo day at an outside range - loud thud, and a firm feel, not 'soft' or 'Covert spongy.' Tried it again last night against a stock BB.

For me the BB was longer, even after gripping down to equalize length. I tried hard to like the XTD. But in the right hands, I can see where its piercing flight would do wonders for others. Edited by SwingMan, 01 May 2014 - 07:28 AM.

I love the Super LS and wanted to try this XTD Ti driver but I can't stand the look of if from address. Looks like a flat slice machine.

Do you mean flat as in flat lie angle? It looks flat to me, and it also looks like it would go right as a result.

Adams Super S Speedline Driver

Still the only USD driver that appeals to me. I had great success last year with the Super S. Yeah exactly Monte, it looks like a flat lie angle. The Super LS looks a little flat too but not as flat. I think the stock shaft length is abit short. Could always reshaft to a longer length. That should bring the lie angle up.

Edited by 73monte, 01 May 2014 - 04:56 AM. I finally have this thing dialed in, and I am very impressed. I have the 9 degree head, and would fight against pushing the ball left (I am left-handed). I dialed it up to 10.5 degrees, which also closes the face, and I no longer have to fight against losing it left. Now that I no longer fear this push slice, I am able to swing more freely. The performance is night and day. Hit a bunch of fairways.

In 9 holes I was averaging about 280 yards off the tee which is about 10 yards longer than my typical average. I hit two drives that were 25 yards longer than usual on the 5th and 9th hole. Granted I had a tailwind, and the fairways were hard and dry, which is different than normal. Not sure how much of this is due to the head, and how much is due to the UST Chrome shaft. Put one in the bag yesterday. I know this is resurrecting an older thread, but this driver is amazing.

Playing with the same guys who I have been driving it next to lately with the SLDR S & yesterday I was 30+ yards past them all day. It wasn't as much the workability that sold me, it was the flight. Sound, feel, flight, it was all perfect for me. This will be in my bag for a while. They were the sleeper pick for last year's drivers IMO.

Because of the slot on top, a lot of people were shy. But when you consider the technology plus the ability to swap shafts with TM adapters, it's pretty much a home run. I have 2 (9.0 and 10.5) and both of them are super consistent. If I have a bad day with my SLDR, I go to that one. If I want to launch the ball long, I go to the XTD.actually, I should just play it all the time!
